Born and raised in London and Crewe, England (with a couple of years spent in India), Sanj found a love of storytelling and filmmaking from a young age. So naturally he went and studied law, graduating with a first class degree from the London School of Economics and a master’s from New York University. After working as a human rights and criminal defense barrister, he traded his powdered wig for a copy of Fade In Pro, studying screenwriting at UCLA as a BAFTA scholar and writing scripts that have won awards and garnered interest from major streamers and production companies.​​

Sanj writes scripts, fiction and thinkpieces, makes videos and (soon) a podcast, while also working in film/TV development at Film London. His storytelling is driven by curiosity about finding harmony between the clashing ideas that have been part of his experience: East and West, logical and magical, growing up too fast and not growing up quickly enough.
